Toyota

Chevrolet

My primary daily driver is a 2017 Chevrolet Impala, which I acquired because a friend needed to get out from under a car payment. The Impala is a practical and reliable vehicle. I also own a 2014 Chevy Sonic, which was obtained for a young girl who needed a car after her previous one was totaled in an accident. The car is manual, and she enjoys driving it as a result.

GMC

I inherited a 2007 GMC Sierra 3500 HD, a one-ton diesel pickup that has been tuned. While I don't have a real need for such a vehicle, I kept it because it serves a practical purpose for my towing needs. The vehicle has undergone major upgrades and tweaking to maintain its performance.

Other Owned and Co-Owned Vehicles

Additionally, I hold the titles to a couple of other vehicles, though I don't consider them truly 'mine.'

I have the title to my sister's 2010 Chevy Cobalt, which she will take over when she turns 18 in March. The car has approximately 75,000 miles on it and is in good condition. I also own a 2014 Chevy Sonic, which a young girl I helped get out of her troubles now drives. I co-signed her loan because otherwise, the interest rate would have been excessively high. Once it's paid off, the car will be hers. I hold the title to a 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara, which the girl's girlfriend drives. I fronted her the money for it, and she is nearing the point where she can pay me back and get the title. Reasons for Preferring GM Vehicles

My preference for GM vehicles is multifaceted. Primarily, I am familiar with GM models due to my own use and experiences, as well as the CAN network in their newer vehicles and the GM engines, which are light-duty and reliable. I also have access to GM factory software if needed, although a good scan tool often suffices.
