Personal Creative Journey and Skincare Experience: A Journey from Hobby to Mastery
Ever since my school days, I've been deeply passionate about crafting. Although I don't have all the pictures from my early projects, I'd like to share some glimpses of my current personal space. I recently decided to incorporate one of my favorite hobbies, crafting, into my love for chocolate. This led me to create some adorable chocolate jar cakes, which were a fun and delightful process to make. Captured together with these moments are some serene and beautiful images that reflect the blissful peace of the sky. My other crafty endeavors include several delightful creations that showcase my love for both nature and creativity.
From Chocolate Jar Cakes to Sky Bliss
My love for chocolate jar cakes inspired me to create something unique and sweet. I enjoy the process immensely and find it incredibly gratifying. In conjunction with these creative projects, I have also been captivated by the peacefulness of the sky, which I have captured in various beautiful photos.
Navigating Skincare Challenges: A Personal Journey
It has been over three years since I made a significant shift in my skincare routine. Initially, I began with a simple washing routine but eventually moved to a more comprehensive seven-step skincare protocol. I enthusiastically experimented with a wide range of products, both those available on the market and homemade remedies, to achieve the coveted 'glass skin' look, which I so admired from Korean skincare culture.
However, my journey was not entirely smooth. After trying and testing many products, I stumbled upon acne blemishes, skin burns, and an uneven skin texture. Faced with these challenges, I became smarter in my approach to skincare. This year, I focused on using only a few high-quality products that I genuinely 'swear by' rather than continuously chasing new brands with paid reviews and influencer endorsements. Additionally, I developed effective homemade remedies that are free from chemicals and that have significantly improved my skin's condition.
DIY Skincare Solutions
Skincare doesn't necessarily require expensive products. After realizing that under-eye creams are often unnecessary, I found that my regular moisturizer does an excellent job. Dark circles and puffiness can be more effectively reduced by getting adequate sleep rather than investing in expensive under-eye creams.
When it comes to face pack powders, while I once purchased pre-made options, they did not offer the desired results. A teaspoon of chickpea powder (besan), a teaspoon of curd, and a pinch of turmeric provide wonderful benefits to the skin. For uneven skin tone, dried neem leaves powder can be a valuable addition. In the colder winter months, a teaspoon of honey added to curd can deeply moisturize your face.
Although I once relied on blackhead removal tools or nose patches, a mild but effective face scrub is often sufficient. Homemade scrubs can easily be made by mixing a spoon of coffee, a teaspoon of sugar, and coconut oil for a gentle yet effective exfoliation for both your face and body.
Hair masks and conditioners, which I believed could give better results, were not as effective as I expected. I switched to applying freshly grated amla on my scalp instead of purchasing rosemary water every month. While this switch has shown some promising results, I still aim to reduce my dependency on chemical skincare products and focus more on traditional remedies.
Homemade remedies have proven to be a cost-effective and effective solution in my quest for healthy skin. Your kitchen is a treasure trove of ingredients that can help maintain your skin's natural beauty. It’s worth exploring these natural solutions rather than just filling your online shopping cart with store-bought products.
